Washi Telephone Challenge

Hi everyone it's Sherri from the Squeaky Scrapper and it's my turn to bring you the weekly
Washi Up! Challenge.

The challenge for this week is super easy... well I think it is :)

Let's see if you can guess what it is by looking at my project???

Need a hint....??? Here ya go .... Telephone!!!

Well, I'm sure you guessed the most obvious part of the challenge ... you MUST use Washi Tape.  It doesn't have to match mine of course, you can use whatever colors you have.

But here's the most important part of the challenge .... your theme must be something telephone related.  You can use a telephone in your design, two tin cans with a string, a cell phone, or whatever else you may use to communicate with people :)

Don't have any Washi tape, and wanna get your own?? You can purchase all kinds of designs of Washi tape here.

This challenge will run until Tuesday December 11, 2012.

Washi Wednesday Challenge - Christmas!

Hey Hey Hey! It's Jillian from Paper à la Mode! I'm getting my Washi on this week for Christmas!

Here is last week winner of our Washi UP Challenge
Maria Matter

Make sure you contact
TheScrapbookingQueen1@gmail.com
for your Washi Tape Prize!!

I've had several of these little birdhouse ornaments I got from my local craft store laying around. I have painted them, papered them, embellished them, but never Washi'd them! Until now of course. Washi works great on chipboard!! Here's my project! It's in my fake tree right now, until we get our real one. I just can't get rid of that tree, it was my husband and I's first Christmas tree. We lived in Hawaii and real ones were expensive and didn't last long. So we decided for our stay there, we'd use an artificial tree. Now that we're in California, we get a real tree but I still put up this one. So the "Christmas Love" sentiment really does work in this situation. I love this little fake tree. <3

So my question to you is, how are you going to make your holidays brighter with Washi tape?? Link up with and show us!

Oh buddy am I excited to show you what I made with my Chevron Washi tape!!!  I can't even begin to tell you about my Washi Tape addiction! Yup, I said Addiction! I love it... everywhere I go I am drawn to washi tape.  I am super excited to be on this design team.  My hope is that this challenge will help you dig deep and bring out that creativity that is waiting to be unleashed! LOL so without further ado  I (Scrappin Madge) brings to you this fun project.

I first started with a plain 5x7 wood frame with a 4x6 opening. And a roll of Chevron Washi Tape.

Below is the finished project.

I took the washi tape and taped horizontally, trimming and cutting the edges as I went.
I also went around the top, bottom and two sides after the frame was done.

I also added some Crinkle Ribbon from 3 Girl Jam, a small white dole, three white flowers from Prima, painted with Creative Inspirations paint, and two straight pins.

Here is another close up of the project

Washi Up! Challenge - Flowers

Washi Up
Welcome Welcome Washi Up Wednesday!!
Our Challenge for this week is
Use Flower Washi Tape
Winner will get a random WASHI Tape Roll for
Playing along...

Let me say I am soo super excited to part of this wonderful design team
there these ladies are soo creative. There are soo many cute washi tapes.
My theme today is using washi tape that has flowers on it.
For my project today I made a Birthday card I dont ever have enought of those.
My background paper is from My Minds Eye Miss Caroline 6x6 paper pad, then
I tore off the first layer of a 4x4 from a box,
then i used acrylic paint and painted the 4x4 square.
I put some washi tape on chipboard and cut it out the border on
the bottom of the card and the swirl using My Favorite Things dies.
I then used my Gypsy to size up the flowers, they are cut from
Cricut cart Flower Shoppe,
they were cut on my Expression.
I used the Martha Stewart leaf punch, and the birthday sentiment

I am soo happy the way this card turned out I will have to make a few more to have on hand. Be sure to drop in TSQ Royal shoppe and check out all her goodies she has. Thanks for stopping in and visiting,
